Man Utd Seal Two More Transfers Of Wonderkids After Fa Sign Off On Deals With Former Arsenal Star Still Target

Man Utd seal two more transfers of wonderkids after FA sign off on deals… with former Arsenal star still target

Manchester United have pulled off a double swoop for highly-rated Aston Villa youngsters Charlie McCann and Finley McAllister after the FA signed off on their transfers.

The move comes just days after United announced the capture of 16-year-old striker Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso.

It has been reported that the fee for McCann will be £1.7million rising to £3m with add-ons. The compensation package for United to sign Scotland Under-17 international McAllister is thought to be around £500,000.

Both McCann and McAllister are central midfielders and have been capped by England at youth level.

The future looks bright for McCann for club and country. In December 2020, he became the youngest player ever to represent Aston Villa’s first-team when he came on as a substitute in a Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool.

McCann then made his Premier League debut against Sheffield United in July 2020, playing the final 15 minutes as Villa lost 1-0 at Villa Park. Still only 15 at the time, he became the third-youngest player to play in the Premier League.

McAllister has yet to make his first-team debut for Villa but is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in the club’s academy.

He has already broken into the Scotland youth set-up and started three of the four matches at the Under-17 Euros earlier this summer, which was held in Israel.

United have a proud history of developing young midfielders and will be hoping that McCann and McAllister can follow in the footsteps of players such as Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher.

The pair also may be joined at Old Trafford by former Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson, who left the Gunners earlier this summer when his contract expired.

The 18-year-old is a winger who was capped by England at Under-17 level and has been training with United’s Under-23s in recent weeks.
